Riding helmets and choice of hair style?

In what if any way has the fact of riding and therefore wearing a helmet affected your choice of hair style please?

It is currently affecting mine! I had my long hair all chopped off and love my short style - however with a riding hat and no pony tail out the back I feel like a boy!!! I'll be showing my daughter's pony on the lead rein this year too so definitely considering a fake bun in order to look a little more feminine!!

Mines quite long so gets put in a bun, and I have a fringe. It's quite possibly the most unattractive thing ever after wearing a hat! Lol :P most defiantly pin them back when riding, but even still, they just don't look good..

i had a fringe and it used to stick to my forehead :( so i grew it all out and when it was long it was just in a pony tail.

then i got it all chopped into a bob and couldnt really do anything with it so it used to just stick out :(

But i can get it back into a pony tail now :)

I have the 'get up & go look' its actually curly so have the plastered to head straight look then huge bouffant from where hat ends so usually braid it.

I have a fringe and I can't say it causes a problem. I just push it back over the top of my head and then put my hat on so it's not going to fall out when I ride.

Long one length hair for total ease. Ponytail for riding or can't be bothered days. No need for blow drying, just shove it in a clip. Can't afford a haircut, easy, any one with Sharp scissors can trim it :D

ditto Magicmillbrook - pony tail. I do have layers but they are long so i can still plait my hair to keep it easier at times. sometimes my hair dresser shapes the front too much and then it doesn't go back in pony tail - very frustrating... and last time she did it it meant that my hair now wants to curl infront so refuses to stay in pony tail even though long enough  can't wait for it to get even longer ;)

I always have mine long enough to tie up and then I'll clip my fringe back or just flick it back just before I put my hat on. I do have layers but at the moment they're relatively long as I grow my hair longer in winter to keep me warm!

But in the summer I chop it off, back up to under shoulder length with shortish layers and side fringe, when I tie it up the layers hang out and look a bit ridiculous but bar wearing a hair net all the time there's nothing I can do! If I have my layers any longer my hair sticks out and looks stupid all the time so I go for looking daft the small amount of time I'm wearing a riding hat!

short because i am lazy and don't have time for faffing with my hair;) i find it gets just damp enough in my hat for me to spike/mess it back up again enough not to look like a helmethead:D

I have pretty long hair (almost touches my bum when it's loose ) so I tend to go with a really low plait unless I'm suddenly required to ride a horse (not a frequent occurance) and I don't have time to fiddle with it it goes in a really low pony tail. I prefer a plait though because otherwise the wind catches it and it bows in my eyes or mouth... or both!

Style? Not sure mine counts as having much of a style. Certainly, riding hats do it no favours. 20 min in a hat and mine's a complete mess! Have tried short, long, in between and always ends up in a mess.. perils of having thin hair I suppose!

Always ask hairdresser (about once every 6 months mind) to put layers in, but always stipulate they must be long enough to tie up. The last one i had a daughter who rode so she made them long enough for a low pony tail :-)

i had stopped riding regularly after Connie retired, so had a fringe cut and love it... 3 months later, a new horse falls into my lap and i have to deal with terrible hat hair fringe!!

Always wear mine tucked up in my hat so it doesn't matter what length/style it is. Doesn't really matter what hat i use its aways up whether in my racing skull or CO Ayr8 or GPA Speedair

I have the 'get up & go look' its actually curly so have the plastered to head straight look then huge bouffant from where hat ends so usually braid it.

Sounds a lot like mine! It's long now so can put in a scruffy bun and so much easier since growing my fringe out as it used to go wavy and look dreadful! I just take off riding hat and replace with a cap now! :)
