Riding holiday in Argentina - any tips?

I'm off to Argentina on saturday for two weeks - one week of which is on a cattle ranch (not sure if that's the correct terminology!). Going to be riding for 4 hours a day or so, and possibly learning polo. The lady who owns the ranch emailed me and said that cotton trousers or very lightweight jodhs are needed as it's really hot over there - has any one been on one of these types of holidays and if so, do you have any tips as to what to take?

Haven't been to Argentina but went to South Africa - Horiszon Horseback Adventures last year. I just wore my usual lightweight jods, usual chaps a vest top with a long sleeved shirt on the top also take a pair of lw riding gloves.

I would alos take a pair of your own reins incase the tack you have includes plain leather reins.
