hey all!

my parents said i could go on a riding holiday this year, so i was well chuffed with that! but they would also like to come with me, cos i told them that there are such things as riders and nonriders holidays, cos i had seen them advertised in magazines etc.
however, im having a bit of trouble finding one in the southwest of england...
does anyone hav any idea where i could find a holiday where a teenager could ride, and her parents just not ride etc?
if there are any near a beach, that would be a huge bonus as well!

thanks guys.

why not rent a holiday cottage near to a trekking centre or RS? Thre are loads about. Go to your travel agent and they'll point you in the right direction.

How about Devon - Dartmoor or Exmoor. Loads of trekking places around here up onto the moors and gorgous place for a non rider. Have a look at on the web and then Riding on dartmoor. The Dartmoor national park have their own leaflet on riding on the moor

I can really recommend the Exmoor Falconry Centre. I went on a short break there a few months ago with my OH. It is a lovely place. I went on a great hack (horse was fantastic) while my non-riding OH explored the local area which is beautiful. We both did Clay Pigeon shooting and Falconry. If you love animals this place is for you. I would say the only downside is that they don't have ponies for complete novices if your parents want to have a go, but saying that, I am a novice rider and the horse really looked after me. Can't wait to go again. They also do working holidays there if you love mucking out
