My friend and I both turn 40 next year *gulp* and have decided to treat ourselves to a riding holiday. Does anyone have any recommendations? We want to stay in the UK (probably) or Ireland, we are both experienced riders with our own horses and we would like some really nice accommodation and food.

Try Nolton Stables in pembrokshire, you can usually go for as long or little as you like and they have amazing beaches which you can gallop from one end to the other

Do you want to take your horse?
Could try bridlerides... if not.. def go to the west coast of Ireland and gallop along the beach.. then go to Dingle Bay and see the dolphins for a memorable holiday!

Thanks guys!!

I personally would love to go to Ireland. My lad was bred in Sligo and was there until he was 5, so it'd be great to see where he's from. And I've never been to Ireland!

Have to say, the gallop along the beach sounds very tempting, too...... We'll just have to have a couple of holidays!

Castle Leslie (Co Monaghan) is fabulous, great accommodation and food, lovely horses, and a wonderful xc course built by the Willis Bros www.castleleslie.com - or if you want to bring your horses you can stay in our self-catering cottage, see your horses out of the window, and ride in forests, by lakes, on the beach, up the mountains ...
