Hi
I'm looking to go on a short break to get away from routine. And would like to do something like trail rides or something like that. But the problem is i would be going alone, so wondered if anyone could reccomend anywhere in the uk that is good for this sort of thing, and if anyone has gone on there own?
Thanks

Hi,

We've been to 'Spirit of Exmoor' in Devon many times. Fantastic horses, wonderful riding across Exmoor.

Everyone's really friendly and a good mixture of people, both alone and together. Also no single supplement. Would highly reccommend a weekend break.

If you aren't taking your own steed can really recommend Cae Iago (type it in Google, they have a website) in Ffarmers,Wales. Lesley who runs the place with her dad Charlie are really nice people. I've been 3 or 4 times, 3 of them on my own, I shared a room..you can pay a supplement to be single but to be honest the ladies I've shared with have been lovely. Great home cooked food, sitting around a big table. so a real family atmosphere. Nice horses, welsh cobs mainly with some nice rides over forestry and up to a lake and into the mountains....take a camera, its stunning, especially when you see the red kites that frequent the area.
