Riding Horse Class- Colour Browband

Hi all,
I am new here so hello! I have a 12yr 16.1hh Warmblood type gelding and we are currently hard at work to compete in Large Rriding Horse classes this year and are dressaging and novice (and soon elementary) level.

My question is with a bright bay horse with a white star, what colour browband would you put on for showing that stands out best?

I'd like to add a photo but I don't know how to yet!

Bright red would go very well, or a bright blue

You can never go wrong with a traditional red white and blue browband.

red or burghundy with gold and blue.

Purple is not ok for anything above local level

The classic red, blue and white in always lovely on a bright bay though it might be worth taking into consideration that in riding horse classes, there's a good chance you won't be on the only bay. As the red/blue/white is possibly one of the more common ones, there's a chance others will have the same colour on the same coloured horse. Not really a big deal but in the show ring you need to do everything and anything to catch the judge's eye and stand out. Might be worth going down a less common coloured route or matching it to your tie/stock (depending on what you wear)? But perhaps I'm just being pedantic!

Oh i do like the green!

I wear a Shires Huntington (i think) tweed coat, its green with a navy collar. A red would look nice against it! A green might be too dark with his black mane but it would look fab on a grey.

I think maybe a red with a hint of green and gold? Can you guys recommend any good websites to buy them on? im based in Ireland.
