Drove through there today and it looks amazing but I need advice before riding there as dont want to get lost.
We live near NEC so looking for somewhere to park horsebox and go for a nice ride without getting lost. Is it difficult.

There are mmany many trails which all look the same so if you don't know the area I would suggest Taking an OS map with you, or have some sort of gps that will take you back to your start point.
It's fab riding especially if you can go mid week and avoid the weeekend dog walkers and speed mountain bikers

Not a problem, although I know a lot of people get lost - do you usually have a good sense of direction? Make sure you start from a large well known car park e.g. rifle range or white house so you can ask anyone if necessary and then keep a track on your left/right turns and just aim to ride a big square block to start with. Lovely riding

The riding on Cannock Chase is fantastic,we are very lucky, our yard has direct access.
If you go on line and google Cannock Chase maps there are some very easy read maps which come up. Best parking for a trailer or box is probably either Marquis Drive visitors centre, Whitehouse, Seven Springs or Punchbowl depending where you are coming from.

Don't worry about getting lost, you'll be fine, it's not a huge wilderness !! If you do, there are plenty of walkers and cyclists to help you and any of the car parks mentioned are 'landmarks' that people will know and can direct you back to.

The terrain is varied, lots of opportunities to canter, the ground is generally good and you can usually find some logs and small jumps that the riders have made in the woods. There are a few pleasure rides and endurance rides held on The Chase during the year if you fancy something organised.

Definately worth the drive over, PM me if you want some more info or some route ideas. Have fun !

Of course take a map with you. The Chase is only 25 miles square and it really is easy and simple to get around.

Not difficult as lots of landmarks and people around to guide you in the right direction. However please don't go off track as its not safe due to mine shafts, however tempting it looks! Are you looking at going at a weekend or in the week as if at the weekend and am free could meet up and can you show some of the good routes? You tend to have to go a bit further in nowadays to get the canter gallop tracks as the cyclists have turned a lot of tracks to stone.

I live right near the chase and could easily get lost! But i have no sense of direction!
Dont let this put you off though its a beautiful place. Gps on your phone is helpful.
Have fun
