Hello, I am looking for a place to ride around Doncaster and the surrounding areas. I live in Thorne and I am not looking to travel for more than 25 minutes. Therefore, I cannot get to places in tick hill or Misterton etc. I will consider google areas and Scunthorpe areas. I have been to several riding schools in the past and I stopped riding for a long time due to a bad experience at a specific riding school, I am one looking to get back into it and take it up as a hobby. I have searched everywhere for different riding schools but I do not seem to be having much luck. I have decided to try this method of finding a school as I know that some yards do not do much advertising, thank you for taking the time to read my message and I hope you can help me :)

Hi - you could try Epworth Equestrian, Sykehouse Equestrian - join Epworth and District riding Club or go on their facebook and maybe someone round there would offer you some riding. Scunthorpe Pony Club and Scunthorpe Pony Owners club are pretty active and have web sites. Normanby Hall has a good riding school where you can loan a horse long term.
Or you could do what I used to when I was a teenager - chat to people who have horses in a field nearby - I always had a horse to ride! Most people would be happy to let you ride with them in exchange for a bit of help.
Go on Riding Diary and look for events near you at riding schools and arenas - like Sykehouse - and chat to people or help out.

You'll soon be riding !
