Riding in the fog/mist

Would you do it whether in the out door school or short hack?

Only asking as it is really foggy and misty here in the mornings at the moment, I rode in the schooling field but wasnt brave enough to go out in it the other day.

I would ride in the outdoor arena but not on the road as car drivers might not see you till the last minute.

I have ridden out in the fog but was lucky that I was able to go straight out onto the common, I wouldn't have done it if I had to go on the road first though! It's also pretty disorientating

Would never go near a road in the mist/fog. Riding out is risky enough - and I have been a dedicated hacker-on-the-roads for 40 years. It's not just that drivers may not see you - in those conditions, drivers are not expecting you to be on the roads.

I can ride straight out onto a set a side with no road work still wasnt brave enough to go out though...im a wimp.

Wouldn't reccomend going out on roads or where dog walkers may not see you.
Drivers wouldn't expect horses around on crappy days so much so may not take as much care.

I'd ride off road in mist, but never on the roads. Not worth the risk.

another never on the roads. I wouldn't go anywhere other than the school in the fog. Way too dangerous

Would ride in the school or off road hacking, but definitely not on the roads

Never Ever on the road in the mist or fog but would school or go on a off-road hack! x
