ha. this may sound like a pretty stupid question.... :p
but i've searched all over the place and i just can't seem to find a riding instructor who would come and give me lessons on a weekly basis at my yard.
I've tried the bhs website, they only seem to have a small number of instructors based in east sussex on the site. I've also tried the phone books.... and again no luck!

those of you who have an instructor who comes to your own yard.... how did you find them? :)
oh, and just out of interest how much do they charge?

THANK-YOU! :D

I have got a fantastic instructor. Her name is Alison Short. I can't recommend her highly enough. You can have a look at her website if you google her. She is based in West Sussex but she comes to me once a week and I'm in Framfield. Let me know if you want her number.

Try your local tack shop for ads or advice.

Try ringing your local RC or PC to find out who teaches at their lessons/rallies.

Are you on a yard where you could ask other people, or is there a yard nearby? Someone must know of someone...

Oh good. She really is lovely. She's been teaching my daughter and I and my two friends for over a year and the improvement has been amazing. We all love her!

in my experience the instructors have not been very good and i have had paid a variety of prices.

One instructor was very good on the ground but could not actually ride my horse or the easy plod for toffee.

I have reached a point now where i dont personally feel an instructor is of much use. If you do manage to find a half decent one who does actually know their stuff and can put it into practice then hang on to them!!!
