I have the vet coming on Friday morning to do my horse's jab. Normally I just give him a day off but he is on box rest at the moment and being ridden in walk. I do graze him twice a day but his ridden exercise is the only chance he gets for a real leg stretch. He's only walking so isn't getting sweaty at all.
Would it be ok to ride him and if so would it be better to do it before or after do you think?

Fine to ride as long as they do not sweat up - I hack to the vets and back for my horses jabs and just make sure I walk back. As you have the option, I would ride before the jabs.

Why not ask the vet when he comes to jab him?

Vet told me that is was OK to ride as long as they don't sweat up. HOWEVER when the vet came to jab him we scopped him first and discussed the results then FORGOT to jab him!!!! Vets coming again on Friday
