Hello, although this isn't asking for advice I just wanted to spread my happiness after having a bad experience with my much loved first horse I sold him on and got a ploddy cob! He is the most lovely gentelmen and pony I have me although sometimes cheeky when being schooled yet with so much affection and love for everyone! After dealing with nerves and struggling for just over a year and quiting lessons completely I eventually felt ready to pick up on them again and so yesterday I had my first lesson in a year and the change my instructor has seen in both me and my horse was massive and I am over the moon we all enjoyed it and i can't wait for my next one! :D So i would love to hear other peoples confidence stories and there great horses! :p

Oh my word sounds like you're doing exactly what I'm doing at the moment!! I too had lost all confidence with my last horse, bought a ploddy cob and have had two lessons so far on him and am loving it and him!! Even jumped in my lesson last night and am hoping to go to a little tiny local show on Sat!! Am still really nervous lots of the time but the good times definitely outweighing the bad times now.

Well done you and here's to lots more happy times on our wonderful 'ploddy' cobs!!

what a lovely reply glad to here you are getting on well with yours, and yes the good times are overweighing the bad times I just feel so so lucky!

I lost my confidence last winter and found it riding out for a race yard! I got made redundant and needed cash coming in to keep the horses so I asked for yard work, next thing I knew I was riding this fly bucking 16hh race horse. I love him, I trust him so much and he has given me my confidence back despite running away with me a couple of times! Deep end I guess but it worked! Well done and thanks for happy post!

It was an ex racer i eventuallly lost my confidence off but it's lovely to here off a good story of one, it just just goes to show with the right horse and trust how far you can come!:p
