Hello everyone. I'm after some advice. I'm looking to get back into riding again. I rode a lot as a teenager but haven't been for the last 13/14 years. Between living in London, work and kids there just wasn't the time or money. But now I'm finally making some time to get back into it. I'd probably look to have some private lessons first to get back into the swing of things. Where in the Glasgow area (within a reasonable drive) would people recommend? I'm in the southside so it looks like Hazeldene, Busby or Dumbreck are closest. If anyone has an opinion but doesn't want to say anything too publicly feel free to pm me. I'm so excited to start back again but don't want to be put off by a bad experience.
Thank you!

There is Ingliston at Bishopton. It depends what you want, I think you just book a lesson and make an assessment, I know my local RS school presented me with a horse, rather old and muddy, I don't think I was impressed [BHS Approved!], it was OK to ride, they only had one horse, the rest were ponies.
Ingliston has a mechanical horse I believe, I asked about a lesson but never heard back. That would be ideal to get started again.

I know someone who learned to ride at hazelden and she loved it. She was an older nervous rider and she learned a lot there. I do remember thinking it was expensive though. Sure she paid £27 for a half hour lesson?
