So I am biting the bullet and booking some riding lessons at the grand old age of 48! Eeek! Anyone know of any good RS in and around Solihull / Lapworth which are good for the older beginner. thinking of having some private lessons to start with as opposed to group ones.

Thanks.

Don't know the area so no help on the riding school front, sorry...just wanted to say go for it and enjoy.
My OH only started to learn at the age of 40, and someone in our village learnt how to ride at 70, so wouldn't get too hung up on the age thing. <g>
PS You will ache after the first lesson (or two) though - as a 20yr old would, too: riding uses some muscles you would rarely use as much 'normally'.

What about Lowlands Farm in Shrewley, just outside Lapworth. They also do RDA there. I haven't ridden there, but a friend in her 60s goes to help get her confidence back. Don't know the number, but sure they have a Facebook page.
