bought some muck boots you can ride in at the weekend and they're incredibly comfortable to ride in and walk round and run in ect ect.

my leg position seems better in them as i can't slam my heels down in them, the only problem is that i've not jumped int hem yet??

what are they like to jump in?? would it be better to jump in my boots and chaps then the muck boots as boots and chaps are less likely to get caught in stirrups??

I love my muck boots, however you will find that your legs will absolutely roast in them when the warmer weather comes. I find that for jumping etc its better to wear riding boots and chaps as the muck boots are a little clumsy. Best thing to do is have a go and see what your prefer.

more of a long boots girl myself - got the mountain horse high rider II's and they are fab. Wear short boots around the yard until I need to ride! Your feet will fry in muck boots in the summer and I don't think they're a close enough fit for me to ever jump in them!!

bought the muck boots for work experience really. i'll be working round big horses and need serious toe protection, didn't want to go for steel toe caps though. should come in useful in winter though

Muck boots are fab and one of my better winter investments, but I dont like to ride in them and think that if you were to fall whilst jumping you may get your foot stuck.

I would stick with jod boots and half chaps for jumping
