Riding on Fields

Recently i've moved the horse onto my own land. Haven't built a school yet. How often do you guys ride on your field - have 2 acres. When do you, and when don't you????

I have 2 acres too. They are on sand so drain pretty well, though at this time of year 10 mins of schooling makes it looks like a ploughed field unless there is good grass cover. In high summer it can also get a bit hard, though if the ground is good it will happily cope one horse a day as long as you don't go round in circles in the same bit all the time

I ride on my fields whenever the ground is suitable - it's usually too hard or too soft but today it is almost perfect so I will be hacking out tonight until it's dark and then riding in the field.

I usually hire a school or something if I want to work the horses hard or want to jump as the ground isn't good enough for any consistant schooling work.
