Concours d'elegance Outfits/Riding Dresses

were does every one get them from?

can i see some of yours please :)

Thank you :D

By "Riding dresses" do you mean a riding habit as in side saddle? Mears make very nice "modern" ones and if you are in striking distance, Alexander James in Manchester is making them again

If you mean 19th century and before, historically accurate riding habits you can get a variety of patterns to make your own (or have them made) from Penny Housden at sidesaddlelady@tinyworld.co.uk or you might be able to hire through the Side Saddle Association

Please be aware that in side saddle shows there is a world of difference between modern habits as worn for competition and hunting which are worn for Concours d'Elegance proper, costumes for Historical Concours d'Elegance (which have to be histirically accurate) and costumes for fancy dress classes - and you confuse them at your peril so make sure you know which class is involved before you show up in your finery!
