Riding-proof fake tan!!

Ok, so I know this is a bit random but thought I'd ask anyway.....

Does anyone know of a riding proof fake tan? I admit to not owning the best set of legs (human!) and always find the warmer weather a touch more bearable by using fake tan. However, I hate the fact after a warm schooling session and getting a bit sweaty, the fake tan starts coming off and looking patchy! When you ride most days this is super frustrating!

Any recommendations/tips/advice??

I swear by Garnier self tan lotion (with apricot extract no less). You literally go brown in about 2 hours - and then get to shower it off cos it makes you sticky. Et voila, brown former pasty bits and it lasts ages too. I use it on my face and neck twice a week "for that becoming glow" and full body once a week.

Do i sound a touch TOWIE here ?? Sorry, I just hate looking pasty ;)

I really rate the St Tropez everyday stuff, they do a face one and a body one.

It is expensive but I have really sensitive skin so find it's worth it!

The other one that is really good is the Palmers one. They're the people who make the cocoa butter lotions! The only downside of that is the smell!

The St Tropez everday smells nice!
 
Shysmum, is the stuff you use just called Garnier Self Tan lotion or something else? Sounds great but due to my general blondeness am sure I will pick up the wrong one!

Veruuch liking idea of a wash off one :D
 
Hi, I too love fake tan for the warmer months but don't like the usual probs with getting dressed/going to bed covered in sticky lotion that rubs and goes patchy.

Last year I was in a cheapie-type chemist (Savers) and picked up a pack of self-tan wipes for, I think, 99p....brilliant. Non-sticky, dry quickly, do the job:)

ps I only use them on my legs - like my face to be pale and interesting;) so can't vouch for them for facial use.
 
Going to bed is the worst! Always wake up with a hand print or two! Not attractive at all! I use St Moritz- Cheaaaap ( £2 a bottle) It gives a really nice colour, but i have been told i smell like curry/ buscuits after using it? yum :confused:
My legs are so pale! Showing at the weekend though, so waiting til sunday before tanning- patchy legs and jodhs? OH NO!:p

I've never found one that can colour my legs, it wears off within hours leaving them once again whiter than my teeth!
Wouldn't mind too much but my back and arms are already a lovely colour so I look like a cut and shut!
 
From the prospective of a guy I have to say noooo to fake tan it just looks so tacky especially the when a woman has orange hands.
Just my thoughts ! Save the money and buy some horse treats lol
 
I use the fake bake flawless! its in a bottle and you get a mitt so your hands dont go patchy and its actually really good! i also use the Sun Lab one but its from america and quite expensive! Definately recommend the fake bake one though
 
The best I have found ( and I've tried a lot!!!!) is a boots no7 spray on / wear off one, it's great, always get compliments on it, and it's never goes streaky / patchy. It does whif a bit when you first put it on though!

Its in a bronzey/ browney tube

Make up for the legs really just stick and wait to dry, takes about 3 mins, doesn't wear off on to trousers etc

(none of that apply the night before/ wait for colour guide to soak in then wash off- just bang it straight on!!)

Because you don't have to wait for it to soak in you can do emergency patch ups really quickly.

Use a mitt to prevent streakyness!

AND it is on 3 for 2 in boots......

NB- they also do it in a spray in exactly the same colours if you prefer spray to smother!!


Ooooh- wouldn't recommend the shimmer ones for day time, a little over the top
 
Just stocked up on the Garnier one - it's half price at Superdrug (£3.55 for 400ml, which will last at least two months).

Garnier Summerbody Moisturising Lotion - Sun Kissed Look.

I use the deep version, they also do a light one.

I get hubs to do the deed, he likes that bit,lol, and while it's doing it's thang, I sit on a towel on the sofa, and two hours later shower, and hey presto, next day I'm deep sun-kissed look :D
