With schools closing down do you think there will be an impact on riding schools? If so what are your riding school plans?

It is going to have a huge impact on riding schools, no lessons means no money for staff wages amongst other things. I breathed a sigh of relief when grants and rates relief were announced for small businesses in the leisure industry but it was short-lived as no one has clarified if riding schools count as the leisure industry.

Cardiff Riding School has closed. I very much hope it’s not the end for them as it came so close to being shut down several years ago due to costs (it’s run and owned by the council).

Riding schools near me are staying open.

Disinfecting ponies reins after each lesson, moving group lessons around so ones in the outdoor, then the indoor, etc. to limit groups of people.

Stopped all volunteering though so it'll be all hands on deck for the horses.

I cant see how they can keep going TBH in some countries riding is banned in case people block up hospital beds with injuries. its also unnecessary social contact.
