Riding School in York Area

OH is wanting to learn to ride! can anyone recommend a riding school in the York area for complete beginner, just want a few private lessons to get him going then hope to buy something very steady for him to hack out on!

jodphurs riding school in tockwith has a good instructer called jan brown, who is worth having a lesson with. thay have an indoor school which ia bonus for winter lessons

Naeburn Grange and Jodphurs are good.

YRC is brilliant if you can afford it/can travel.

Thanks will have a look at that, am actually about 15 miles south east of York so YRC is a long long way!

Oh one thing. I tried to get my OH lessons at Jodphurs and they said they're weight limit was 13 stone!

No problems on that front, only just over 9 dripping wet and with stones in his pockets, he's built like a jockey and even worse can eat as much of anything as he likes and never puts on any weight! Not fair at all!!
