Hi All!

I will be moving to South Cambridge (Trumpington) next week and am looking to get back in the saddle after quite a long break - can anyone recommend a good place?

I rode extensively from the ages of 6 to 21 years old but work commitments have meant I have spent very little time in the saddle over the last 5 years. I am therefore looking for a friendly, professional school where I can reacquaint myself with the basics but also really progress my riding to a high standard once I am back up to scratch!

If anyone could recommend a place (I don't mind a bit of a drive for the right school), that would be great.

Thanks in advance!

I'm from the other side of cambridge and learnt to ride at Old Tiger in Soham which is probably 40 mins from trumpington, my OHs mum was learning at Milton farm school and said they were really good, still probably 15/20 mins away, there are also riding schools in Oakington & Dry Draton which are meant to be good and I've driven past one down the A10 near foxton called the south cambs equestrian centre which is probably slightly closer but I don't know what it's like.

Sharon Newbound, Hill top eq centre, yelling, nr st neots. They have a website, worth the drive from Cambridge!

I bought my mare from Sharon and I would highly recommend her school, I don't live locally but the facilities for trying her were brilliant, horses all well looked after and if I lived closer I wouldn't hesitate to have lessons there.
