Hey all!

i no there is alot to think about insurance etc if ne1 can tell me nething about this would be much aprprciated
Thank you

I guess alot would depend on where you are, for example, if there is a lot of riding schools near you, you'd struggle more than in an area with very few.

Perhaps freelance instruction might give you a head start - ie, help you build a client base?

The local authority needs to inspect you to give you a licence and this is quite expensive. Unless you are going to have more than your current two horses I am not sure it is financially viable. However without the licence you are not supposed to be running an unofficial riding school as you are at the moment. This means you do not have proper insurance which would have serious implications if someone fell off and injured themselves. If I were you I would ring the local council to find out about licencing. I think it also means your need to be rated as a business which is yet more expense.
