Riding Schools around Exeter

Hi,
I am looking for some help. I have an 8 year old who is wanting to learn to ride. Not having any experience myself I was hoping someone could advise on riding schools.

We live just outside Exeter, near Thorverton. So would like the school to be on the Tiverton/Crediton side if possible.

I have been told Exeter is lacking in good school, but thought there might be someone to give me some advice on good riding schools

I know of Oaklands riding stables in Exeter. Dont know their reputation though as i never used then and live in Okehampton.

The rose and crown in tiverton has a pretty good reputation, haven't ridden there for years, but lots of girls I know ride there. Think they are ideal at catering for beginners.
