Evening HHO-ers!

Am off to see my uncle soon, who lives in Hastings, and would love to go riding! Went to one RS in Battle and didn't really get on with it, so on the hunt again...

Does anyone have any recommendations for fab riding schools in Hastings/Battle/East Sussex? We'd be willing to drive up to 30/45mins.

TIA and have a good week!

I only know of Petley Wood, Marley Lane, Battle.

They have great hacking there, but I have my own horses so I don't use a riding school.

Or the riding school at Banatines (SP) Hotel near Battle:

I suppose it depends what level you are, perhaps just go for a lovely hack through Battle Great Woods :)

Have fun :)

I can't be of great help but.....
I used to ride at Hylands 01424 830416 (in Crowhurst) erm too many years ago :)
It was very good then and I understand it is still run by the same people.
Worth a shot!

I grew up with the girl, oops, sorry, I'm ancient now..., who owns Hylands and she was always very good, and spent a lot of my early years at Beauport Park, was great then, can't vouch for it now.

Lollii and forderough - I learnt to ride at Beauport Park! Little Hazel was so naughty ;)

Troylimbo1 - I'll look into Hylands :)

Thanks guys, keep the suggestions coming!

Errm I learnt to ride there in the late 60's early 70's!!!! Mrs W owned it then and it was a cracking place, very old school and a bit of dealing as well, I started to help at weekends then the J's took over and I used to work in the hols, very formative time and wouldn't have swopped it for the world! Sadly I think Little Hazel was after my time but you may remember the memorial garden for Baron and Spotty? I did a lot of early work on Baron and named him, and was in the PC Eventing team on Spotty before he went blind in one eye...
