I'm going on a fun ride tomorrow, organised by a local drag hunt. The advert says 'smart casual - No jackets required'

What would you take this to mean? I don't want to get it wrong and look scruffy or OTT!

I have no idea, I'm sorry, however if it is like smart casual in any other event it is safer to overdress (then remove anything "too smart" if you can).

Nice polo shirt, cream jods and boots will look casual but at at the same time very smart, clean tack and numnah.

Have fun

I always ride smart casual.... infact even when I had the horse and was mucking out, I would always wear colour coordinating clothing - green jods, yellow "joules" t-shirt, green and yellow patterned socks and matching fleece!!

I think I would wear light coloured jods, smart t-shirt and matching smart fleece/body warmer or summer jacket, and shiney long boots or smart chaps.
