they're much tougher than cheap jodhs. (i bought a pair of Dublin once which fell apart at the crotch after about 2 months of yard work and riding... luckily not as embarrrassing as when yours went though!)
i've found the Kerrits very hardwearing, I have no idea how many times I've worn and washed my Flex Tights but it's a lot. I think the Channel Rib ones are possibly slightly tougher, but still as comfy. The winter weight ones are really strong material too. (I'm wearing a pair at the moment!)
