i don't mean dressage to music competition but just schooling, jumping etc? i find it really helps me relax and feel more confident especially jumping as i don't get tempted to rush out of a nice rhythm or back out. What do you guys think? Could put together a playlist any recommendations?

I like an album called Classical Graffiti by The Planets - sort of classical and rock mixed together, so a lot of it has quite a good beat. And Bond by Bond is of a similar type. (If you download anything by The Planets, make sure the album is Classical Graffiti! There is another band called The Planets who are heavy rock!),

i always ride with my ipod on, unless im hacking with friends, feels it keeps me calm and i tend to enjoy it more, most played song at the moment is lady gaga born this way, its an amazing song to canter to and play about with the length of strides etc, ive got most of the top 40 artists to listen to i also tend to set the pace as to what tempo the music is, absolutely love it just like interval training really :)

ETA think taz gets a sore head though, when im singing along to the music!

I just like to make a cd of all my favourite songs of the moment, find listening to this helps me relax best as I like all the songs so this makes me happy! Sometimes I put the radio on but this isn't as good as they might play songs I don't like which just annoys me!

keep em coming guys :D got a really good random mix by spanish dj thats great for jumping no idea what its called but then we had a big sound system what does everyone use CD player, ipod?

Some of the soundtrack to the film Gladiator is awesome, often used for Dressage to Music, but could easily be used for schooling.

I was driving along with the radio on the other day and Bruno Mars "Just the Way You Are" was playing and I thought... If I ever did dressage to music I would totally use this song!! Which would probably be a bit much for the dressage establishment but... it's got really good time changes and different passages you could ride a test too, walk, trot, canter etc. And also I really like it! Totally agree about gladiator too!
