Yes I have a friend with an ICD and she rides regularly. Her work only allows her to ride at the weekends, but she rides both days and in the week if work allows. She has lessons and competes dressage on her chap, as well as taking 10 day two week riding holidays all over the world.
The op will take it out of you for a few months but it shouldn't stop you riding once recovered
My old instructor BE events up to intermediate successfully with a pacemaker. She's had a heart valve replacement and previously cancer too. She's never let anything stop her.
MUSIC TO MY EARS......BRILLIANT..... Just what I wanted to hear, I have at the moment had to stop since Oct 15 (stone heavier already) now got a sharer who will turn into a full loaner over the next weeks for a few months, then hopefully I will be sorted. Thank you guys
Just remember to take ti easy as you will tire very easily, maybe ensure you have a friend to hand the first few times you ride after the op as you may need the help untacking etc
