Buzz is so over the top around mares, screams his head off when Winnie leaves and is very aggressive to other horses if a mare is around. Would it be worth starting him on this? My YM wants me to have him tested too.

It works OML who was over the top with another mare, so bad there was a small altercation between them the first day, now it is all calm as he is on rig calm and she is on frisky mare and oestress.

So yes definitely worth trying IMO.

When I first got a gelding for my daughter he was very 'riggy'. He was very protective of any mares and very aggressive to my other gelding, to the point of chasing him through fencing, where he was caught in stock wire on a steep slope that led to the road. We had him blood tested which proved he was not a rig so put him on Rigcalm and within a few weeks had calmed down to the point that we re-introduced him to my gelding and they co-existed happily until my boy was pts a few weeks ago.

Tired it when my boy was younger but he wouldn't eat it! it smelt disgusting, as do all of the global herbs supplements I have tried

I found that my boy was only riggy around one mare, one that was very tarty, he's been turned out with my mare for 3 yrs and never dreamed of mounting her! he's now out with another mare and again, wouldn't dream of it! so some times I think the mares can make things worse!

My vet talked me out of the test as its very uncommon to find a true rig these days

My lad acts riggy around certain types of mares, had him tested after he hurt a mare mounting her at a yard we were on, he isn't a rig, fast forward two years, now at home I brought in a companion for him after he lost his field mate, enter a tarty in his face WB mare, god it got embarrassing, both were put on stroppy mare which thankfully worked quickly and he just ignored her antics from then on

global herbs rig calm worked on Bruce-who used to pester the pony mare.

no mares on yard now(and wont be again as now have a stallion) so no need for it now but he is noticeably more fruity and will run the fences line if i have a mare come to the yard for a lesson.

mind you Fig also does this, the only one who doesn't is in fact the stallion lol!!!!!!!!
