Need some help, I think I need to put my gelding on some kind of rig/dominant gelding supplement.

I’ve seen recommendations that RigCalm works, but I was wondering if anyone has experience of any cheaper ones?

Straight Agnus Castus is the active ingredient in most rig supplements - but I've tried loads of them, incl pure Agnus Castus on Alf, and none of them have had the slightest effect on him. He's the Oliver Reed of the horse world, and he isn't going to let a few herbs get in the way of his love life!

The only thing that helps and in the horse I had and it really worked was putting the horse on regumate the stuff you give to mares .
It was very much a last resort thing .

In what circumstances is he acting up? Management and training will do more than supplements. If you just want him subdued, then keeping him short of water will do it (kidding - but you get my point, it's not a 'proper' solution).

Well behaved, relaxed stallions do their job without supplements.

i think unless he is a rig the supplements make no difference and end up costing a fortune.
my boy turned into a beast, serving mares, bulling the geldings relentlessly. He now lives with boys and is mr chilled.

He’s a dominant gelding that likes to get his wanger out.

Not been tested for a rig, but I’d be 99.9% sure he’s not. He behaves like all the dominant geldings I’ve come across, and nothing like the gelding I knew that was cut late and still thought he had them
