Rig operations

I have a deligtful 11hh pony rig. Has anyone had a pony rig operated on? He is going to need his belly opening and a good guddle around...hopefully the offending item will be sat ontop of his internal inguinal ring...but I'm not that lucky!

Cost was £150 about 4 years ago and pony never really became the sweet, nice person we wanted. Seemed his attitude stayed with him.

I used to work in an equine operating theatre and probably 75% of the time once the horse was under GA we were able to find the testicle without having to open them up. You have to be a bit more brutal to find it that you can be when they are awake and know what you are up to!

We used to do laparascopic surgery to remove them and they could either be a piece of cake or a pain in the bum (literally!)
