Hi Just wondered if it's ok to turn out a Horse that's had the rig operation with mares and gelding? I am very nervous as there are dominant geldings in the field already. Before the horse had the op he was turned out in another field with mares and geldings and caused injury, was obviously very dominant and had to be removed.(before he was tested) thanks in advance

Nah, should be fine now. The op also removes part of their brain, if not all, so you should no longer have any problems.

Have fun!

:D

(oops, just realise this could go slightly left-field....)

Oh wait... have you checked it for ulcers????

:D

Not sure why you are commenting on this thread when I started it nearly a year ago!! The horse was turned out in the field and very shockingly was fine with the others. So no longer need the advice .

Lol that's ok no problem , was quite shocked to see it!! It brought back all the memories of worry! To be fair he's as good as gold now so the operation was a success . :)

Ah... there was a joke on another thread about resurrecting random threads from a long time ago. Sorry! Just so happened I picked yours on page 1677... random huh?? I noticed it had no replies and thought it was a perfect choice :D

Hey, glad it worked fazzie! Even though it was a year ago :)
