I have a new livery and he's fresh off the race track, standing at 16.2 and 6 years old. On his previous yard he was on alfa a, fibre nuggets and speedi beet, with no hay and poor grass. Now he's on my yard, he stopped eating alfa therefore not getting any supplements and only picking out his nuggets. He seems to have taken to apple chaff, basic horse and pony mix. Now he's very hot headed, and riggish around mares. Will the mix and chaff be making him excitable? Desperate for answers

I think hes more likely to be riggy because he's never been in an environment where he got the opportunity to be a ladykiller!
My horse is riggy, and gets really silly when separated from his girls. I started feeding agnus castus a week ago, and he's been angelic. No screaming, happy to come out of the field, stopped trying to kill my other gelding if he as much as looks at the mare, and just a far easier person to have around!

ditto the agnus castus is wonderful. hes going to need a period of strict routine and a good few weeks to settle down. life has just become very exciting for him
