I could certainly see him in a ridden hunter class...although you'd to tell he doesnt need to show off his manhood :D

For you boy, brown workman like tack (black will be fine though), plan brow, thick flat plan noseband etc

Plait him up, pull his tail or plait it, I prefer pulled though.

Show cane or leather riding whip, choose the colour to match your boots/hat/gloves

Quarter marks, squares for example, not diamonds.

You'll need a tweed hacking jacket, velvet riding hat (or skull cap with velvet cover) to match your jacket.

Either white, cream, yellow, pale blue shirt (with a well fitted collar) with a nice tie (polka dot is nice) and something that goes well with your shirt/jacket and then put a tie pin in for extra smartness.

Cream/buff or yellow breaches/jods, with long leather boots/gaiters, spurs ro dummy spurs, garter strap (if your boots have the option for them)

Leather gloves, brown or black (depends on your tweed, colour of hat etc)

Hair tied back in a net, then bun in in a scrunchie or pin it.

For local level, all above will be fine :)

I agree with the above :)

If you like jumping mind you, you caould try your hand at Working hunter :)

one thing a fellow shower on our yard advised me with is in Novice classes - judges prefer to see the horse in a snaffle. A double bridle would be fine for hunter class though *please someone correct me if I've got this totally wrong!!

Agree with Kenzo - would say ideally boots to be black, hat navy, gloves and cane brown.

A novice should be shown in a snaffle.

But as you say, local level so don;t worry if you can;t get it ALL right. Your horse looks a nice boy. Have a good day!
