My dog is on Rimadyle tablets (75mg daily) & these are very costly from the vet at £70 for 2 months & the result isn't so great either these days.
A friend suggested trying Cortaflex but I have no experience/knowledge of this product so am unsure if I should give them at try. Any info on using this for dog (Lab of 10yrs) with bad hips/joints would be much appreciated.

Rimadyl is a pain killer. cortaflex is a supplement for joints which I think you can use as well as rimadyl not nec instead of.
You would be best to speak to your vet because there might be something else you could use if the rimadyls not working.ie previcox or metacam.
you can get rimadyl on line with a vets prescription.

green lipped muscle from a health food shop or boots etc is also good for joints and fairly cheap but i dont think it would replace rimadyl.
some people also use bioflow collars which might help but again dont think would replace painkillers. really best to speak to vet.

Ask about Trocoxil: last for a month and is better for their stomach than Rimadyl. It's about £25 a month.

You could try MSM-petvits are a decent website and it's done wonders for my arthritic Spangle.
