New horse came and looked like he had a few patches of hair missing, ( i had thought prehaps bites of horses) as thats what it looked like. But now had got a couple of outbreaks of like blisterd skin and has one like a ring around his eye. (can upload a photo if anyone wants to see)

What would you do to treat it? Unfortantly hes already been in field for 2 weeks with my one so going to leave them together so not to spread it about. Had read not to go with stuff vets give out as not strong enough and anti biotics dont help? Had heard white vinegar? true or false? Vet is comming tue to do his teeth anyways

sunlight is the best for ringworm but you wont get much of that in nov! it is self limiting if you have the time
(like months!) so your best bet is to get some imaverol from your vet and wash them in it. and something like fulcin to put in their feed. some virkon E to spray/wash/dip thing in! canestaN can help in big lesions. obvs look after yourself as you can catch this to!

I second the Imaverol and Virkon. I'm not convinced the oral drug treatment is necessary, although I have used it before. (It's expensive and a bit scary, and ringworm isn't that serious).
