We have a ringworm outbreak at the yard (I've never had a horse with it before) and my boy has developed it on his face, ears, muzzle and mouth. The swelling has gone down but he is now sore and very itchy and is desperate to rub the area and knowing him and his itch-scratch fetish he will rub it raw and bloody in no time. Can I use Calomine lotion on the area to soothe it without compromising the effectiveness of the anti fungal wash he is having?
