the silly beast yesterday playing with the exercise ball :) i have another video of him playing with his jolly ball as well somewhere but this will do for now :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcUo--EuOHU

he hasnt been ridden for a good 2/3 weeks now as my saddle is at the saddlers having the flair removed and it being re stuffed so we havebeen doing a bit of ground work and keeping him entertained :o which is fairly easy :)

but he has taken a liking to the jolly ball and exercise ball in particular :) spooky horse you see ;)

its just a human one as i didnt want to pay £70 for a horse one to find that he wasnt interested as neither of my other two are :o but now i know he likes it i may make an investment in one :)

Yes, have had a look, they're super expensive! Your boy seems to love it, it must have you cry with laughter haha! I have an old gym ball I never use, think I might take it to the yard tonight and see what he makes of it :)

the only problem with gym balls is that they arent very strong if they climb all over them or bite them but other then that they are good :) rio is an odd one anyway hes very playful i think the way be plays with the cone is the best as its just a cone but hes entertained for hours with it :o he picks it up and shakes it about and then carries it around :o

Brilliant! He looks like he's having such fun :-)
I was hoping to find a thread on this. My 5 yr old isn't being ridden at the moment as he's a bit sore under saddle and his saddles off being reflocked etc. Anyway I think he's a bit bored and I wanted to try and see if he'd play with a ball. I've got an old gym ball I can let him have. He'll either love it and play with it or be wary in which case it's good spook busting (we get lots of stray gym balls out hacking round here!)
Now....silly question: if it pops will
it make a loud bang? That really WILL scare him so while I don't
mind losing a gym ball, I'd rather not give my horse a heart attack!

If they just sort of wheeze to death I'll give it a go and see if he plays but I'm less keen if it might be a Big Bang re-enactment!! ??

Fantastic.
We bought one for Poppy and her friend, they spent the first 20 mins hiding in terror and then when we ran around with the ball to encourage them:rolleyes:, they both adopted their "we're not Labradors " expression and mocked up behind their hooves:D

I.love this! it cheered me up seeing your horse having so much fun, playing around. It really is priceless! my boys on boxrest and i just want to let him run free!!
