This absolute legend of the equestrian world has passed away aged 84.

She was a heroine of my childhood, along with her unforgettable partner Merely-a-Monarch.

RIP Anneli.

So very sorry to read this, I remember her way back in the early 60's she was a remarkable horsewoman and still riding in her latter years. RIP Anneli.

Very sad, I can highly recommend the interview with her on the Equiratings Eventing Podcast. Fascinating lady and a true sporting hero, her love and respect for Merely-a-Monarch really shone through.

Ohh my goodness. Bless her.

She along with Pat Smythe, Marion Mould and Lucinda PP were the heroines of my pony-mad childhood. Yep am showing my age here.

Merely-a-Monarch and Anneli were such a wonderful partnership and such an inspiration to us young'uns. Just sheer legends.

What a huge loss to the equine world. Feeling very sad.
