Yesterday morning, our yard cat was hit by a car. My YO found her on the side of the road, with a smashed up jaw and other injuries :(. She was buried at the stables, as she loved it there.

Brook was rescued just over a year ago. YO found her wondering around, she was skinny, covered in lice and very feral. YO managed to catch her and bring her to the yard, we fed her up and she begun to trust us. Took her to the vets, lice treated but no microchip found. So YO kept her.

In the space of a year she has totally changed. She is the most lovable cat! She climbs up me when I get to the yard, for a cuddle. She kept me company on the late nights. She loved my Horse! Brook used to sleep in the corner of my stable! she had a lovely warm house to go too, but preferd being with Ruby.

She was very spoilt! She was fed sometimes twice at breakfast. As she would nip over to YO's house, get fed. Then come up the stables and cry for more feed and I would feed her  clever kitty! She was a great hunter too! brought down birds, rabbits and kept the mice and rat population down. She will be really missed ! RIP Brook. I hope we made your last year special!

Thank you. The yard just isn't the same without her :( I am so glad I gave her a big cuddle on Sunday. It was the last time I saw her

What a beautiful cat with a lot of character by the sound of it. Very sad but good that her last year was one of being looked after so well.
