My best friends 37 year old Welsh collapsed in the field this morning and was put to sleep

He was out hacking yesterday and seemed fine when we turned him out, in fact he looked the best he had in several years, so this was a real shock. She's gutted as she's had him since she was a young child, was their when he was born, he taught her children to ride and had a great showing career in his youth. He was the sweetest safest horse in the world and he will be missed by everyone that knew him. RIP Cracker

Thank you everyone

just had to tell someone and my OH is very 'it's just a horse'. Am dreading going to the yard this morning and him not being there

he has given myself and many others hours of pleasure and confidence and nannied many youngsters and thanks to him my nervous wreck of a rescue pony is now a safe and confident hacker.
