So sad,
I've just heard that a friends dog died the other day.
It choked on a ball.
She let it out into the garden, as she always does, at night to go for a wee before bed. She went upstairs to get ready for bed. She heard daisy come in and start to come up stairs, again nothing unusual, then she heard that daisy was making a funny wheezing noise. She went out to the dog and daisy was choking. SHe tried to reach into her mouth to get the ball but couldn't reach it, it had gone down so far she could only just feel the edge of the ball and couldn't grab it. She rang the emergency vets and they sent one of the nurses who lives on site round, as she only lives round the corner from the vets and the nurse would get there quicker than the vet. The nurse was there within minutes, but it was too late, Daisy was dead and there was nothing the nurse could do.
This was a normal sized ball for a dogs, god only knows how she managed to get it stuck so far down. The vets said they've never known a dog choke on a ball like that before.
It's so sad, she was only 4/5
RIP Daisy xx

Well it somehow did. And it wasn't as if it had been thrown and she caught it so it went down with force.
She used to always tell her cousins and nieces/nephews to be careful with the small bouncy balls that they use to have as she was worried about Daisy choking on those but the Vet said one of those would have probably gone all the way down and whilst she may have needed surgery to remove it she'd probably have been ok.
