Sorry for non-horsey post again
Just had an email saying Fran the goat was found dead in her box on Sunday morning
She arrived at Mossburn 14 years ago, when she was about 3 days old, found beside her mother who had been killed by a car.
She was taken into the house and hand-reared in there, leading to countless times of her having to be told to stop headbutting the front door for some raisins
Despite being raised in the house, she was quite a nervous goat and she chose when to come to you rather than the other way round (unless you had food
) She was also a master at sneaking up on you to relieve her itchy head on your legs
The vet thinks it was probably a twisted gut, but she was such a character and will be greatly missed
And for anyone who wanted to know about Bonnie the raccoon, it is almost certain she was let out by someone, who the following night let all the horses out too
They didn't go anywhere, but Bonnie is still missing
