I'm terribly sorry to let you know that, this morning, I have lost my future super star, Grumpy. He lost his battle to colic. Run free my miserable sod.

Sorry to hear of another horse lost to colic, it seems to be the biggest cause of horse loss. My vet when she came out to mine said she had already had 3 cases of colic that day.

Thanks again for all your kind thoughts and hugs. It feels a bit strange him not being here, but I have to admit I'm much less upset than I thought I would be. Maybe because I have seen it coming for a long time now, he hasn't been quite right for ages and would colic quite often. Most likely cause according to my vet, was melanomas internally.
