bye bye old chap. Nearly 45 years old..not bad for an ex riding school pony. Passed away in his meadow.

What a grand old age to get to, there must be a lot of memories attached to him. Am guessing he grew up with lots of your family and was a special little man x

No ...he was a field mate of the others for a wee while...he was here on loan as a lady used to come and take her daughter out on him for wee hacks...he was ridden till he was 41. she didnt come alot though..which wasnt fair on him..so i helped with his grooming and feeding. He had a really tough winter in 2008/09 but amazingly pulled through..despite vet saying he probably wouldnt. After that his owner came and took him home to spend his last days in his old meadow with another couple of ponies. He was a character though..and loved to be groomed.
