I had to have my lovely black lab put to sleep on sunday he was 13yo a good age,but l feel so devastated l can`t stop crying when l think about him.
I know he is in a much better place and he is not suffering anymore. So RIP my lovely boy you will always be with me.

So sorry to hear that, it is always so hard when an oldie finally goes

I bet he had a great life though, so I have found it helps to remember the good times

Bless him RIP little man, Im sure you both had many happy years together.

Remember the good times and don't dwell on the bad! And take comfort in the fact you made the right decision and he is now no longer in pain and in a better place!

He will always be remembered and will have a very special place in your heart and no one can ever take that away from you x

It's hard to come to terms with the death of a much loved pet, esp one that is there whenever you look, in their bed or at your feet, then nothing

So sorry for your loss, I'm sure you have lots of good memories of your dog and will remember the good times with him. Its not easy I know.

Sorry to hear of your loss.

When one of mine dies I don't want memories I want my dog!, but she always hated it when I cried so I tried not having to long weepingsessions. And since most of my memories are happy ones I sometimes did more than smiled thinking of her, wich made me feel guilty, so I cried and then I felt guilty for crying to much...

Oh I do feel for you as I have a black lab bitch, she is only 2 1/2, but after having terriers for years before I had the lab, I now realise what people say about labs, they are so loyal and loving and want to please you so much, and I cant believe the love I have for mine after just 2 years, it must be awfull for you after having yours for so long.

I had my terrier PTS 3 months ago at age 16 1/2 which was upsetting, but her brother died from a choking accident 2 years before, so watching her go so peacefully was better to see and it was quick, I have her ashes in my bedroom so that she still feels close to me. Also I have some lab puppies now and am keeping 2, they are an amazing breed, the best ever....

Take care!!! You will always have your wonderfull memories & pics to remind you of all your wonderfull times together.
