So this is probably my 3rd post asking about heights!! I have a 2 year old warmblood (3 in may) shes standing approx 15.1/2. What were/are yours standing at?? How much did they grow? Im hoping she will make 16.2 which she should due to her parents height! Also feel free to post pictures 😊😊😊

When ours was 2yo he was about 15hh, he is now about 16.2hh at 5yo. Both his parents and his full sibling were similar heights.

You can do the string test if you want a reliable predictor of mature height. Measure from the point of the elbow to the ergot/point of the fetlock; flip the string/tape up, keeping the string on the elbow, and see how much over the wither the other end is - that's your final height.

My Welsh was 14hh at 3, hes now pushing 15.2 at rising 7.

Vet said he'd never make 14.2 when she done his jabs as a 3 year old. Ha!

I'd say she'll make a nice 16.2

My rising 6yo was around 15.1 at 2yo (didn't officially measure him but he looked roughly the same height as his 15.1hh fieldmate)
He's now pushing 17.2.
He was suppose to be 16, maybe 16.1 at a push.

I keep begging him to stop. And people keep saying to me 'Oh! Has he grown again?'
NO, he hasn't.... in my mind he's a nice sensible 16.1 and I won't look like a pea on him when I finally get on him properly.

Well..... it works until I see the evidence.....

I bought a scrawny immature looking Fell pony at two and a half and he was just a smidgen under 13 hands. He's 30 this year and never did make 13 hands.
