Such a tragic accident

Glad to hear the rider managed to escape with no serious injuries, such a shame the horse suffered an ill fate.

My mum works for highways in Hampshire and her colleague was called out to attend the accident - apparantly someone behind indicated to overtake the horse and the guy following that car just drove straight into the horse, not looking where he was going. She mentioned something about a mobile phone. I wish they could change the law to prosecute poeple like this. She said that the horse had dragged itself off down the road afterwards and by the time the vet was called it had lost too much blood and had to b PTS. My thoughts are with the rider and the poor horse.
