Road Tolls

Any one heard the Government want to introduce road tolls? Meaning it will be up to £1 a mile on bust roads and around 2p a mile on minor roads. I guess the idea is to encourage people to use public transport, but I'm not so sure...surely it will just mean more and more people will be using country roads...which aren't designed to take a huge volume of traffic. (which will also making hacking out even more dangerous for us) What does everyone think about this?

there's absolutley no way i could get to either the yard or work on public transport, it is non existent expensive and CRAP. the country needs to revolt against tony b- LIAR's lastest ker-ching scheme.

I agree lilym. If this comes into effect I will have to give up the horses, the car, my job, as I won't be able to afford to go. Then the bleedin' government can pay me the dole

I shan't be able to afford to go to work either - which would be somewhat counter-productive, surely?!
