Rob Jackson experiences ?

I can only comment on my own experience so cant tell you if his technique is used for everyone

He took a very thorough history and watched her move before working on her.
It was quite frightening to watch the way the horse was pulled about, much more vigorous than any other chiro etc who had seen her. Pony didn't seem to object or mind though.
She did feel different after, but frankly I was not a good enough rider to make the most of it and use the time after to my advantage with her rehab, so in all honesty it was probably a bit wasted.

A friend also had him and he gave her some exercises to do, which she felt made her horse worse (niggly not quite right-ness) Personally I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, as it showed what needed to be looked at but she obviously wasn't very happy.

He came out to me, watched mine for ages, and then treated him very quickly. It was quite a rough treatment, he had to lift one hind leg up high. The horse objected to the first time but it was done so quickly he didnt have time to react. Interestingly when he did the other side the horse was fine. I can only assume that he had gotten some relief from it as he was a bit of a difficult character if he thought anything would be even mildly inconvenient!

He spent about 10 mins discussing the injury which was really unusual, and gave me a rehab plan. The horse walked away sound and stayed sound for the best part of a year, he then did it again being a prat in the field. I had Tom Jackson out this time and it was a really easy fix, so clearly hadnt been as bad this time around.

Of the two Tom would be my preference. Hes more thorough and a bit more into whole horse management. Hes also about 60% more expensive. Robs PA is a nightmare! Lovely, lovely woman but very disorganised and that always puts me off a bit.

But I would happily recommend either. I think there are both supremely talented individuals with an amazing eye. Neither will mess you about or rip you off. If theres nothing to fix they dont treat and dont charge.

I had Rob Jackson out to my mare a few times and really rate him. He definitely helped my mare although her issues did return. As previous posters have said, his technique does appear quite rough and a treatment doesn’t take that long! He is hard to get hold of though! I also tried Tom Beech but he was very expensive and didn’t help mare at all! My current physio has definitely helped my mare the most and got to the bottom of her issues which actually turned out to be a very badly fitted saddle!
